Biopic on Sourav Ganguly Set to Commence Filming in December, According to Report: Ever since former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly announced his biopic, there has been immense curiosity surrounding the actor who will portray him in the film. Earlier this year, there were speculations that either Ayushmann Khurrana, the 'Dream Girl' star, or Ranbir Kapoor might step into the shoes of 'Dada' on the silver screen. Subsequently, in May, a report by mid-day confirmed Ayushmann's selection for the role.
According to the latest reports, the filming of this project directed by Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth is scheduled to commence in December. Ayushmann Khurrana, known for his dedicated approach to his characters, is gearing up for an intense transformation to portray Ganguly convincingly. Despite being a left-handed batsman like Sourav Ganguly, Khurrana will need extensive training to capture Ganguly's unique mannerisms, batting stance, and more.
A reliable source indicates that Khurrana will embark on his training journey next month. With the film reportedly hitting the floors in December, he will have over two months to immerse himself in Ganguly's persona. Moreover, Ganguly himself is closely involved in the project, and there are reports suggesting that he has already met with the actor chosen to portray him on the big screen.
However, there is still uncertainty regarding whether the initial shooting schedule of the movie will take place in Mumbai or in Sourav Ganguly's hometown of Kolkata.
